Assalamu alaikum,

This is a quick email to remind everyone NOT TO MISS our monthly talk that will take place this Sunday 6 March 2011, at the Quad. The talk this month is titled: ISLAM & AFRICA .

From birth, Islam has been a central feature in Africa and was the first continent into which Islam expanded. According to some source, Islam is the largest religion in Africa. This Sunday’s talk will focus on how Islam spread so rapidly into Africa and what impact it had on the people, society and the culture. This informative talk is designed to give the audience an insight into this great civilisation and what contribution it made to the so called development of the modern civilisation as we know it today.

If you have a question for the speaker you may email it in advance to: sundaytalkquestions@companionsofthemosque.com no later than 6pm Saturday. Your name will not be mentioned and if the speaker doesn’t get it covered during the talk then it will be answered during the Q&A session as a priority.
