Dear All,

Just to let you all know, it’s been confirmed from Saudi:

Eid will be on Sunday 25th June 2017

Please do:

– Set your satnavs to SM2 6QT, and,

– Arrive by 9 – 9.30am latest, the Salaah will start at 10.30am sharp. There will be plenty of parking but please arrive early to avoid the rush.

– Bring a mat

– Bring your children, wives, sisters, brothers, parents in fact all your family!

When you arrive, please:

– Sit on the sitting area, please NO strolling or milling around talking to friends

– Please listen to Khutbah – this is IMPORTANT, else you will spoil your salaat

– Please do not rush off after salaah, enjoy the day with us, there is something for everyone!

Lastly, if you are able to volunteer to help clear up after the event, this will be much appreciated, many hands make light work after all!

As MC of the event it’s important you know if you’re bringing food I like anything with lamb!!

Just to let you all know we are in the final stages of organising our 7th Eid in the Park event in Sutton.

There is a lot going on behind the scenes, but there is still a lot to do.

We are looking for at least volunteers that can help on the actual Eid day, i.e. setting up the park at 7:00am, traffic control, helping with food, clearing up after the Eid.

Companions of the Mosque will be organising Eid gathering in the park for the family for the 7th consecutive year!

Date to be confirmed  – please watch this site on the 25 June 2017 after 6pm for Eid confirmation.

Venue: Overton Park, Sutton, SM2 6QT

Please arrive by 9.00am for the salah at 10:30am sharp – arrive at the park early to avoid any delays.

There will be separate areas for the sisters.

As ever don’t forget your prayer mat. The usual teas and coffees are on us!.

Just another reminder, we have a special friend of COM visiting us today for the classes at the Civic offices: Shaikh Wasim Kimspon. For those who don’t know him, he has been a part of COM for the last 10 years, and although we don’t see him much now, he is prolific in delivering dawah in various communities and the inter-web… probably why we don’t see him much! Please come if you can.

Just wanted to invite you all to our fund raising event this December: Winter Fair. A chance to showcase some of the amazing work we do in Sutton and a chance to eat, drink fizzy pop and be merry.

There’s something for everyone: games for the kids, henna for teenage girls and something for the wife!

Saturday 10 December, 11am till 3pm at the Thomas Wall Centre in Sutton (SM1 4DP).

Yes we are Eid Prayers in the Park!!!

BUT… we need your help

If you’re able to load up the van please come to the Overton Park tomorrow 10 September 2016 at 4pm, contact me directly or WhatsApp me (07713189 032)

In addition, please help to:

– clear and set up the park – just one hour

– Marshal and be COM ambassadors – as many as possible!

– Food servers

– Clear up the park at 1.00pm – AS MANY POSSIBLE

Companions of the Mosque will be organising Eid Prayers followed by the usual gathering in the park….. for the family for the sixth consecutive year. This will be held at Overton Park, Sutton on 12th September 2016 from 9am till 2pm.

The salaah start promptly at 10.30am. Please arrive by 9.30am to avoid the traffic rush.

This is an event for the entire family: something for the kids, something for the teens and food for the grown-ups. Remember, Praying Eid out in the open is not an option: it is ordered by Prophet Muhhammad
