Just to let you all know, it’s been confirmed from Saudi:
Eid will be on Wednesday July 6th 2016, inshallah
– Set your TomTom navigation to SM2 6QT, and,
– Arrive by 9 – 9.30am latest, the Salaah will start at 10.30am sharp. There will be plenty of parking but please arrive early to avoid the rush.
– Bring a mat
– Bring your children, wives, sisters, brothers, parents
When you arrive, please:
– Sit on the sitting area, please NO strolling or milling around talking to friends
– Please listen to Khutbah – this is IMPORTANT, else you will spoil your salaat
– Please do not rush off after Salaah, enjoy the day with us, there is something for everyone!
Lastly, if you are able to volunteer to help clear up after the event, this will be much appreciated, many hands make light work after all!
As MC of the event it’s important you know if you’re bringing food I like anything with lamb!!
Urgent Attention to All
The “All Participants” Eid Meeting scheduled for Tonight (or tomorrow) has been moved from 8:15 to 10:45pm immediately after Isha prayers.
This will be more convenient to most people as everyone should attend.
So please ALL you Eid Volunteers out there, please do attend so that everyone will know what everyone is doing on the day… even if you already know what you are doing please come.
Remember the night before Eid there is no Taraweeh – but please check www.companionsofthemosque.com for confirmation.
I just wanted to let you know we are planning Eid in the Park for the sixth year running. If you’re a seasoned visitor to Eid event you know how much fun it was. If you’ve never been then you’re certainly missing out!…watch this teaser video…
OK, so now we have your attention: in order to make this event a success we need YOUR help.
We need people to:
– clear and set up the park – needs about 20 people and but takes just one hour
– Distributing party bags – needs about 20 older teens
– Marshal and be COM ambassadors – 30 people or as many as possible!
– Food servers (need 10 brothers and 10 sisters)
– Clear up the park at 1.30pm – AS MANY POSSIBLE
Assuming Eid is confirmed tomorrow night (please see this website for confirmation) then I will be holding a short planning meeting on Monday 4 July at the Thomas Wall Centre at 8.30pm for 30 mins only! Please attend if you would like to help. We will pray Magrib after and leave.

InshaaAllah, WE WILL STATRT OUR TARAWEEH PRAYERS TONIGHT IMMEDIATELY AFTER ISHA PRAYERS AT 10PM AT THE THOMAS WALL CENTRE.

Last Friday we wrapped up the studies of Zakaht. So:

We will start the comprehensive studies of the
-Fiqeh of Fasting-
according to the Qur’an and the sunnaht.

Those who have not yet acquired the English translation book of Fiqeh assunnaht please let me know so that I can order more copies.
The circle will start at 7pm with studies of Islamic Believes for Imam Attahhawi (AlAqeeda Attahhaawiah)
And finish by 9:30pm as usual with Al-Adab Al-Muphrad, with the Fiqeh session in between.
May Allah open for us the gate of knowledge, the knowledge that His prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم left for us to inherit, the knowledge that is free from infiltrations and innovations, aameen.
